Design Engineer, Automotive Engine Design– Salary $70-95K DOE – North Dallas Suburb Join this rapid-growth international manufacturing and supply company focused on providing high quality components to clients in the automotive industry. As a design engineer you will plan and develop variable valve timing (VVT) cam phasers to meet customer specifications for new engine programs. You will utilize function models and use design failure modes and effects analysis to find and document potential failure modes and to create a design verification plan that includes analysis, motored engine testing, cylinder head testing, static functional testing, and testing at customer sites to support the reliability validation of the engine system. The ideal candidate will have expertise in automotive engine design and function, along with experience creating and working with design DFMEAs and DVP&Rs in a manufacturing environment. Your knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances and experience with ISO and similar quality processes will make you a valuable asset to the team.
