Antique Camelback Sofa with White Upholstery and Flemish Scroll Legs w/ Carving in Dallas, TX

This antique camelback sofa represents an 18th century style that remains popular today. This fine antique sofa was purchased from BYERLY?S ANTIQUES in Greensboro, NC about 25 years ago ? one of the largest and most notable antique stores in the Southeast at the time. It was reupholstered many years ago, but it was rarely used for sitting. We are not sure of the exact age or origin, but Byerly?s Antiques of Greensboro only sold the finest antiques ? primarily of English, French and Early American origin.This beautiful antique sofa features intricately carved detail and Flemish Scroll legs and is a rare find. We have searched exhaustively and have been unable to find anything quite like it. The style seems most like Queen Anne until you get to the Flemish Scroll legs. It is a rare specimen. Condition wise, the fabric and structural integrity is good. The item is available for viewing in Dallas, TX.
