The XR-1000 was made in very limited numbers (880) in 1984, with a unique engine that put out 72 horsepower. Fitted with super hardened aluminum heads (68 degree included valve angle, as opposed to the stock Sportster 90 degree iron heads) and twin Dell' Orto side draft carbs, it is quite distinctive and many Harley aficionados have never seen one!
